My Sheri Crafts Ch.192 - First Day of Fall

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! For Challenge 192, design team sister Sandy has chosen First Day of Fall. She asked that we make a Fall card or project. For my project, I chose to use a card style that I have not tried before. This is called a Corner Pop Up Card. It starts with a 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" square of brown Recollection cardstock. Other papers are from my scrap stash. You can find several videos on You Tube for making this this card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Disney Pooh and Friends - Pumpkins -cut 3.35 wide.
Paper Dolls for Everyday - Fall girl is cut 3" high. Fall boy is cut 3" high.
The First Few Years -Happy Days. I used only the word Happy.
Classroom -Aug-Sept. -- Autumn leaf is cut 3.75" wide.
Designer's Calendar - Leaves cut 1.25" high.

Happy Birthday

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am back today with another birthday card. I enjoy playing with sketches and I wanted to try this pretty sketch from Mary at CARDZ TV. The card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and is cut from cream cardstock. I used some pretty K&Company scrap papers..love this color and paper combination! The sketch is a pretty way to use those small pieces of papers that I do not want to toss.

Cricut Cartridges:
Monogram Motifs - Rose Heart is cut 2" wide.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Birthday Friend is written on a 3.00" circle with the Cricut Copper Metallic pen. The circle was inserted using the Insert Shape feature on the Cricut Explore. This sentiment is used inside the card.

The sentiment "May God richly bless you!" is from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set by Mary at CARDZ TV.

I am happy with the results of this card! Hope you enjoy too!

Fall Birthday - Pumpkin

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is a lovely Fall Day in the neighborhood! I played with my Cricut Explore this morning to make this Fall Birthday card. Papers are leftover from previous projects. I have not bought any Fall paper for this season..yet! I have so many papers and paper pads that I am trying to stay out of the craft stores. Patterned papers are K&Company and solids are Recollection papers. Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" when folded and is cut from cream Recollections card stock. I was inspired by the pretty Sketch 3 at CARDZ TV.

Cricut Cartridges:
Cricut Damask Decor - Pumpkin is cut 2.25" w x 1.97" h. An extra pumpkin image is cut at 2" wide to be used inside the card. I used only the pumpkin.
Using Insert Shapes in Cricut Design Space, I changed a square into 2.69" w x .59" h rectangle for the sentiment. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder is used on the mat.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Birthday is written on the rectangle with the Cricut midnight pen.

Inside the card.

Using Anna's Lace Cards and Embellishments, the sentiment Loving Thoughts is writtten on a 3.83" w x 3" h mat. The cream mat was cut using the Insert Shapes feature.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 191 Christmas

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are back with another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Ch. 191 is Christmas. Design team sister Sue asked us to make a Christmas card or project with lots of elements--at least 3 different elements. Wow, can you believe that in 3 more months it will be Christmas Eve! Where has time gone! I was happy to see this challenge so I could get a head start with making Christmas cards!

My card begins with a 4" x 12" piece of Recollections red cardstock. When folded the card measures 4" x 6". Other papers are from my scrap stash.

I chose to use a surprise element for this card. Browsing through blogs and YouTube, I saw the Pop Up Panel Cards and had to give it a try. You can see the blog post and video for the card style made by Joy at Obsessed with Scrapbooking. I love the pop up element of the card. Thanks Joy for the measurements and Cricut Design Space file to make this card style!

Cricut Cartridges:
Christmas/Noel - Swirl Tree is cut 4.2" high. It is pop-dotted on the red mat.

Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder is used on the red mat on front of card. I added a Merry Christmas sticker and a 3D holly embellishment on front of the card. These have been in my stash supplies for years..sure do need to use of a lot of that stuff.

 Inside the card.

Cricut Anna's Fancy Lettering -Noel is cut using the Hannah Font.
Using Insert Shape in Cricut Design Space, the white square is cut 3".
Anna's Christmas Cards and Embellishments - Joys of the Season is printed on the white square.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 190 Travel

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! I am the hostess for this challenge and have chosen Ch. 190 - Travel. All you have to do is add a way of travel on your card or project. This can be a car/truck, bicycle, airplane, or any means of transportation.

I enjoy using my Cricut Explore. When I first saw this image, I knew that I would have to try it!

Cricut Cartridges:
Crazy Cute Cards - Station Wagon Christmas Card is cut at 21.26" x 10.29". This cartridge is available in Cricut Access. I used the  recommended size for the image found on the handbook page. This size does include the envelope. Handbook states the Finished Card height is 3". The actual height is 4 1/2" which includes the attached tree. Finished envelope measures 4 3/4" x 9 5/8". Papers are from my stash stack.
Wild Card - Merry Christmas is cut 3" wide x 1.22" high. This is used inside the card. I placed the words at a lower position on the card so they are not seen through the open part of the windows.
