My Sheri Crafts - Thanksgiving

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today starts a new and fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Design team sister Sandy chose Ch. 194 Thanksgiving. She asks that we include any of the following on our card/project - Pilgrim, Indian, Cornucopia, Pumpkin, Turkey, or Pie. For my project, I made a Pull Out Card. You can find the tutorial at Mary's CARDZ TV. Base of card is a cream Recollections paper. Patterned and solid papers are left over from previous projects. This card style is fun to make and I like the finished look..also a good way to use lots of Cricut images! I was able to add 4 of the choices for the challenge on this card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Autumn Celebrations - Turkey is cut 1.75" wide.
Classroom- Oct-Nov. - Pilgrim is cut 2" wide. I believe this is my first time to cut a Cricut Pilgrim image.
Elegant Cakes - Wishes is cut 2" wide X .57" high. Actual phrase is Best Wishes, but I deleted the word Best and sized the word Wishes for my project.
Holiday Through the Years Iron On - Happy Thanksgiving is cut 4.47" wide x 3" high. This is used on backside of card.
Pumpkin Carvings - Pumpkin Stencil is cut 1.75" high.
Thanksgiving - Bountiful is cut 4.25" wide.
Thanksgiving Table Decor - Cornucopia is cut 2.50" wide.

View of folded card! Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" when folded.

View of card lying flat.

Back side of card.
Cuttlebug Folders:
Diamonds in the Rough - Pumpkin
Houndstooth - Cornucopia
Swiss Dots -  Pilgrim Hat and the Mat under turkey

Santa

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with a little Christmas paper! Guess it is time to make a few Christmas cards! Where has this year gone!

The folded card measures 5 1/2"x 4 1/4" and is cut from red Recollections cardstock. Kraft Colorbok paper is used for the solid background mat. The pretty patterned two-sided papers are from K&Company Glad Tidings paper pad. These are left over from previous projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Santa's Village - Santa with Stocking is cut 2.11" wide x 3" high. This is a print and cut image...I used the mirror image for my Santa. I love the images on this cartridge.
Teresa Collins December 25th - Phrase Santa is cut 2" wide. Snowflake is cut 1.87" wide x 1.61 high.

I am using the pretty sketch from Paper Play Sketches.

Fall Pumpkin

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a Pumpkin/Fall card. It can be used for several different occasions. The card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is cut from Recollection cardstock. White cardstock is Colorbox. The pretty patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Simply Beautiful paper pad. I love these papers but they are very thin and difficult to cut. I had to cut the images several times to get a good cut, but with a new Cricut blade and a larger size image, the Explore worked good.

The Fall pumpkin image is Miss Kate's Cuttables SVG file that was free recently. I love this pumpkin with the layers! Using my Cricut Explore, I cut the image at 4" high. I tried at 3.50" high several times but the leaves were torn during the cut.

I am playing with Sketch 19 at Paper Play Sketches.  Be sure to visit Janis's blog for a new weekly sketch each Wednesday. The sketches are always pretty and such fun to play with.

For extra touches, I  added brads that have been in my supplies for years. The pretty brown crinkle ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Thank you Karen for the pretty ribbons!

Boo!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
After a little play time with my Cricut,  I made this cute Halloween card for a friend. The card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Papers are scraps from left over projects. I am using Mary's Sketch 5 at CARDZ TV

Cricut Cartridges:
Celebrate with Flourish  -  Pumpkin is cut 3.50" wide.
Phrases - Boo is cut 1.96" wide x 1" high. The image includes flourishes but I did not cut those.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Halloween is used inside the card. It is written with the Midnight pen. Using the insert shapes feature, I unlocked the square and changed it into a 5" wide x 2.50" high rectangle.

Inside of card.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch.193 Creepy-Crawly Halloween

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! For Challenge 193, design team sister Peachy chose Creepy-Crawly Halloween theme. She asked that we include creepy, crawly and/or flying critters.

For my project I chose to use the 3D Halloween Lantern SVG file from Dreaming Tree. The main 1 Black section is cut 7.08" wide x 7.7" high using my Cricut Explore. Main 2 Black section is cut 7.12" wide x 10.15" high and the Panel section is cut from vellum at 5.70" wide x 9.29" high.

For extra color and dimension, I added a stripe cardstock strip at the bottom and purple ric rac at the top of lantern. I am using a battery operated tea light in the lantern.

Visit My Sheri Crafts to see at the creepy/crawly projects made by our talented design team. For more information, please visit our individual blogs! Now it is your turn to play along with us! We look forward to seeing your projects!
