Mr. & Mrs. Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with some embossing folders and the sketch challenge Die Cuttin Divas. Card measures 5" x 7". White papers are from Colorbok pad. I think this makes a pretty wedding card! It could also be used for an anniversary card- maybe include the number of years!
Cricut Cartridge: Wedding - Cake is cut 2.75". Pearls and Glossy Accents are used on the cake which is pop-dotted on the mat.
Cuttlebug embossing folders are Wedding Borders- Mr. & Mrs. border and Swiss Dots on the mat.
Spellbinder M-Bossabilities - Hearts Side A- heart background. This is a reversible embossing set.
Crinkled ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces.
Lace from the stash. I used a little ink to define some of the edges.
I was having trouble with my camera..do not know why I kept getting a blue tint!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 112

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is Saturday and time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Ch. 112 is Summer Solstice- Longest Day. Our talented Sue asked us to make a card or project with a summer evening in mind. It could be a sunset or a view from your porch. My grandsons love baseball and in the evenings they can be found on the baseball field-either practice or playing in a game. Since I needed a birthday card for one grandson, I chose a fun shape baseball card. Cricut cartridge is Life's A Party. The card feature and phrase is on page 37. I did not record the sizes. Looking at the image in the Cricut handbook, you will see that the card is not a circle. I trimmed the area at the top of the card to make it a circle yet leaving the connected area intact. Papers are from the scrap stash! A simple card but my grandson liked it or maybe it was the money he found inside!!

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see the inspiring projects by our talented design team and guest designer. For more information on the projects, please visit the individual blogs. Don't forget to leave us a little love!
Now it is your turn to play along with us. Remember one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer and several Ooh la la awards will be given. We look forward to seeing your projects.

I am sharing photos of my grandsons in action at the ball field!

Tea Time

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today's card is inspired by the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. Challenge 169 is Let's Have Tea! The colors in the following lovely photo must be used and the project must include flowers and a tea theme.

Lovely photo inspiration

I chose to use one of my favorite card cuts from Cricut Damask Decor cartridge which is a tea pot card. The card image is found on page 61 and is cut at 4.75" from K&Company double-sided paper. The little tea cup image is on the same page. Just love these papers!

Partial open view of card!
Other Cricut Cartridges include:
Mother's Day Bouquet - Flower is left over from a previous project.
Classic Font - Inside of card - Page 73 Thinking of you is cut 1.25"

Inside view

Other supplies include lace, pearls, and flower from my stash. Lots of inking. The ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces.

Also entering FCCB Ch. 163 Ribbons, Ruffles and Bows

Hope you enjoy my card! I love the Shabby Chic look and continue to work on my designs. Maybe one day I will be better with this design style! Thanks for stopping by!

Simple Pleasures

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a card that seems to be out of my color comfort zone. Most of you know that I love working with pinks, and of course, red and purple. However when I saw the weekly color challenge at
The Shabby Tea Room, I was inspired to search for aqua and yellow papers.
My card measures 5" x 7" cut from white cardstock. Patterned papers are from paper pads that I have had for quite some time.
Cricut Cartridge
Country Life - Page 60 - Pitcher is cut 3". Pitcher is pop-dotted on the yellow mat. Phrase is cut 1.25"
Spellbinders - Nestabilities Eyelet Circles on the yellow dot paper
Martha Stewart Daisy Dot Edge Punch is used on the white layer.
Sew Easy Fancy floss - Baker's twine primary
Crinkle Ribbon from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces
Pearls and buttons from my stash and lots of inking complete the look.
