Inspired by the current challenge at BBTB2, I began a search in Cricut Design Space for a turkey. I chose to dress this 3D turkey for dinner! Glad to see the blog is back with challenges!

Papers are from Prima The Second Wind. I wanted to use pretty Fall colors to make a fancy bird. I like how this turned out!

Create A Friend - School Days is cut 2.75" wide.

Cricut Birthday Cake

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Always needing birthday cards, I decided to combine two challenges to make this card. The card measures 5" x 6 1/2" and is cut from a blue card stock paper. The patterned cake/cupcake paper was left over from a previous project. Remaining papers are also from my scrap stash. Although I own many Cricut cartridges, I purchased a monthly subscription to try in Cricut Design Space. After a search for a birthday cake through numerous images, would you believe I chose a cake image that I actually own!! In fact, of all the cartridges that I used for this card, Decorate! Celebrate! is the only one that I do not own. I was happy to use Cricut images for those images depicted in the sketch.

Cricut Cartridges:
Just a Note - Birthday cake is cut 2.25" wide.
Decorate! Celebrate! - Small green banner is cut .78" wide x.85" high.
Plantin Schoolbook - Oval is cut 4.75" high.
Pretty Pennants - Pink pendant banner is cut 6" high.

Cuttlebug:
Happy Birthday folder is used on the white oval.

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having very hot weather with more days of 100 degrees on the way! I am so thankful for my air conditioner! Papers are white Colorbok and left over pieces from other projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Life is A Beach - Beach chair card is cut 8.50" wide, 5.9" high from the white cardstock. When folded the card measures approximately 4.25" x 6". A green patterned paper was cut for the chair. Watermelon for You

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have missed playing along with some challenges. So much has been going on. Baseball is now over for the summer. Kids did really well, in fact, finished second in the state category that they were in. Now it is time for me to play with paper! My card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. I found a scrap piece of watermelon paper in my stash that is layered on the card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Gypsy Wanderings - For You is cut 1.75" wide.
Stretch Your Imagination - Watermelon is cut 2.62" wide, 1.30" high with the shadow cut.

Martha Stewart Daisy Dots edge punch is used on the black paper strip. The cut outs pieces are added to the plaid square for a little pop! I used a white Gelly roll pen on the watermelon slice.

Beach Scene

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

After playing with red, white, and blue papers for a couple of weeks, I was happy to add a little pink on this beach scene card. The card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. It is layerd with a patterned paper found in my scrap stash. I think it is K&Company. Solid blue paper is Recollections and all other papers are also from the scrap stash. No, I still have not made a dent in the stack!!

Cricut Cartridges:
Formal Occasion - Beach scene is cut 5.99" wide 5" high. While doing a Cricut Craft Room search for a tree, I saw this little scene with the palm trees and decided to play with it!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!

It's Your Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Needing a birthday card, I checked out some of the shaped Cricut cards that are available in Cricut Design Space. I chose this card with the cupcake. I do own this cartridge but I have not used it very much--just like a lot more of my cartridges! Papers are from the scrap stash except for the white sheet of cardstock to cut the envelope!

Cricut Cartridges:

Cuttlebug- Divine Swirls on the frosting.

Inside of card.
White mat for a personal message is hand cut 3" wide x 2 1/2" high. I cut an extra cupcake in pink to add on the mat. The cupcake shape is cut with the envelope.

Anniversary Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
I enjoy playing with the images from a couple of my recently purchased Cricut digital cartridges. The two Anna Griffin cartridges have pretty images and sentiments. I have trouble deciding what to do. I really like the sentiments--there are ten different ones on each of the two cartridges. I love it when I can buy such a great cartridge at a sale price! For my card, I chose one of the card features and added the sentiment with the Cricut Explore writing feature.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments - Card cut size is 4.98" wide, 7.02" high from white Recollections paper. The decorative top is cut from lavender Recollections paper. I used the midnight pen for writing the sentiment on the face of the card.
Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - I cut 3 flower icon at 2" wide using the white and lavender paper. One flower is used inside the card. Two pearls complete the card.
Phrases- Happy Anniversary is cut 6" wide used inside card. There is space to write a personal message!

It is a lot of gluing on these cards, but I think they turn out pretty!

Anna Griffin Butterfly Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today's card is inspired by Anna Griffin Garden Butterfly Card. Anna's card can be made using the Make It Now feature on Cricut Design Space. I do not own all the images that are shown on Anna's card, so I was unable to use that feature.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Card is cut from white cardstock at 10" wide- measures 5"x7". I cut two blush pink liners-one for face of card behind the butterfly cutouts and one for inside of card. The three butterflies are cut 2.75" wide, 2.50" wide, and 2.25" wide which look larger than those on the featured card. The phrase Life Is A Journey is also on this cartridge. It is written with the midnight pen on the label.
Sophisticated Soiree - Flourish Label is cut from white cardstock at 3.76" wide and from the pink at 3.92" wide.
Butterflies and Sentiment Label are pop-dotted on the card. I added Petaloo burlap blossoms to accent the card. The pink heart formed bow is Memory Thread.

I really love the sentiments that are on Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments. I have used the Life is a Journey sentiment on another card. This card will work well for a bridal or anniversary card.

I have been playing with one of my neglected Cricut cartridges. Have you ever purchased a cartridge and then use it only one time in four years? Seems that is what happened with Twinkle Toes! I cut the 5" x 6 1/2" card from pink cardstock. All other papers are cut from my scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridge:

Happy Birthday Frog!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Monday was a very rainy day around my neck of the woods! Thankfully we were not in the hardest hit areas receiving 6" to 10" rain. My thoughts and prayers go out to those folks.
My Cricut machine was busy working on a birthday card for a young boy. Card measures 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. Patterned papers and the white papers are Colorbok. I was inspired by the current challenge at BBTB2 to play with a frog!
Cricut Cartridges:
Disney Pooh and Friends - Balloon is cut 3" high.
Doodlecharms - Birthday hat is cut .78" wide, 1.07" high. I thought the little frog needed a hat!
Gypsy Wanderings - Happy birthday is used inside and cut 4.25" wide.
Paper Doll Dress Up - Frog is cut 3" high. We have so many green frogs around my house. One night recently, I was actually frog hunting in my kitchen...thought I never would get that green jumping critter outside! This Cricut frog image seemed best suited for my little fella!
Plantin Schoolbook - White oval is cut 3.17" wide, 4.22" high.
Something to Celebrate- Celebrate Banner is cut 3.75" wide.

Cuttlebug:
Swiss Dots - Balloon
Happy Birthday - White oval mat. The white oval mat is on an Action Wobble...just a bit more fun for the birthday boy! I was unable to get a photo of the wobble on the card. Each time I tried to capture the movement, the mat would be in place again.

Just a Note -- When I searched for Frog in the Cricut Explore Image search, the frog on Paper Doll Dress Up did not show up. I noticed the frog later while looking through the PDDU cartridge.

A Spring Garden

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are still having a wet Spring, but those Spring showers bring May flowers! I played with my Cricut Explore to create a little garden scene. Card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. All papers are from the scrap stack - a good way to use to all those smaller papers for these smaller cuts.
Cricut Cartridges:
April Showers - Phrase "Spring Garden" is cut 2.50"w.
Celebrate with Flourish - Sun/Cloud is cut 3"w.
Create a Critter - Tulips cut 1.50"h., Butterfly is cut .75"w.
Freshly Picked - Garden Gate is cut 2.50"h., Hoe is cut 2"h., Hat is cut 1.25"w.

I enjoyed creating the little Spring Garden. Working with the Cricut Explore makes it very easy to find the images. Although, I do take a lot of time choosing which image is better for my purpose--so many pretty images to choose from! I would like to work in my flower beds but we had rain during the night. Now I hear thunder! Maybe a day to play with the Explore!!

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Either/or both a sun or cloud

FCCB - Ch.249 Welcome Spring - Whatever reminds you of Spring.

Rainy Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!
We have been having several rainy days and more on the way. I decided to play along with a rainy day theme. The card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. I was inspired by the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I began the layers with the yellow solid cardstock and I continued with solid colors. This is not my usual style of papers--you know I love patterned papers--but I chose the solids this time. All the papers are from my scrap stack. My younger grandsons enjoy being outside on rainy days but they do not bother with any rain gear!!

Cricut Cartridges:
Everyday Paper Dolls - Boy wearing rain gear and the umbrella are layered together and is cut 3"h.
Disney Pooh and Friends -  Cloud and raindrops cut 3"w.  The cloud is used for the rain puddle. I failed to record the name of the cartridge for the gray cloud.
Cricut Font and Basic Shapes - Rainy Day is cut 1.74" w, 1.18" h.
Paisley - Heart button is cut 1" w. I added a bow with Sew Easy Fancy floss.

I frayed the edges of some papers and added a corner accent with three purple rhinestones.
