Dad Fan Club

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With Father's Day fast approaching, I wanted to make a card for my grandkids to give to their Dad! The boys love playing baseball and their Dad loves watching them. Two nights during the week and weekends, they are at a baseball field. Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cut from Red Recollections cardstock. Baseball print papers and solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Father's Day - Dad Fan Club is cut 5" wide x 2.84" high. It is pop-dotted on the base card. All of the design is included in the image. I like the way it looks and chose not to add any additional images to the front of the card.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Father's Day sentiment is printed on a 4" x 3.50" piece of the baseball print paper using the insert image feature and Cricut midnight pen. The blue mat measures 4.50" x 4". This is used inside the card.

Inside the card.

Challenges:
FCCB - Ch. 278 Celebrate Dad
DoubleClick -  Challenge for a Man or Boy
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Summer fun

Hope you enjoy this card! It is a simple card but I think a baseball fan will love it!

Cricut Spring Flower Pot Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

While searching through recently added images in Cricut Design Space, I noticed this pretty card and just had to try it. I chose to use similar colors as in the displayed card, but added my own touches! Paper is from Colorbok Cardstock 8.5" x 11" paper pad which has been in my stash for several years.

Cricut Cartridges:
Crazy Cute Cards -  Spring Flower Pot Card is cut 27.10" wide x 10.73" high. This is my first time to see this image so I searched for information in the Cricut digital handbook. Cutting size and assembly instructions are listed. The cutting size also includes an envelope which requires larger sheet of paper than the pad I was using. I will mail my card in a white envelope.
Stamping - Just For You is cut 1.57" wide x 1.09" high.

For the finishing touches on the flower inserts, I used Mary's sentiments from CardzTV Encouraging Thoughts. The pretty Crinkle ribbon bow is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Love using my recent wins from Mary and Karen!

Flower Pot with the Inserts.

Hopefully I have all of this folded correctly....anyway, it looks like I do! Love that the card will stand!

Guest Designer at Die Cuttin Divas

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am happy to be sharing my card at Die Cuttin Divas this week as the guest designer! Many thanks to Georgiana for asking me! Challenge #269 features a pretty sketch. Playing with the sketch, I chose pretty K&Company patterned papers for the background papers. The card measures 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high and is cut from cream Recollections cardstock.

Cricut Cartridges:
Spring Fling - Flower is cut 2.89" wide x 2.5" high from Colorbok Pearlescent pink and green papers. Cricut Midnight pen was used for drawing the lines on the flower and leaves.
Using Insert Shapes feature in Cricut Design Space, a 4" wide x 5 1/4" high rectangle was cut from the plaid paper for the card base mat. Green check paper is cut 3.1" wide x 4.25" high. The circle is cut 3.75" from the blue dot patterned paper. After aligning the circle on the mat, I cut off one edge of the circle so it will resemble the sketch. Edges of the papers were frayed a little before attachment.
Anna's Garden Cards and Embellishments - Warm Wishes Sentiment is printed on the 4" wide x 3" high patterned paper. This is used inside the card.

Sentiment Love is from CARDZ TV Encouraging Thoughts. Many thanks to Mary!
Pearls and a crinkle ribbon bow are added for the finishing touches. Thanks to Karen at Little Scrap Pieces for the pretty ribbons.

I just noticed the word THE lacks part of the letter...glad I noticed the error and can make a correction before mailing the card!! It shows in Design Space, but pen did not make the mark. Technical difficulties, I guess!!

Check out all the pretty projects by the design team at Die Cuttin Divas. Hope to see you playing along with the sketch challenge.
Again, Thanks to Georgianna and design team for letting me be the guest designer and playing with this pretty sketch!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 183 Tags, Tags, and more Tags

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are back with a new fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Design team sister Raquel chose Ch. 183 Tags, Tags, and More Tags. She asked that we make a project that features a tag. I seldom make tags, but after viewing the Diagonal Double Pocket Card tutorial at Split Coast Stampers, I knew the card would be a good way to include tags!

The card starts with a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper. I used pretty double sided papers from K&Company Sweet Nectar paper pad. The tutorial that I followed does not allow for the card to be opened. However instructions are given so the card can be opened. With the enclosures for the tags, I like the way that I made the card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Lacy Labels - Thinking of you label is cut 3" wide.
Gypsy Wanderings - Cupcake tag is cut 3.75" high.
Sentimentals - Tag is cut 2.25" wide x 3.75" high. I added another layer cut at 2.34" wide x 3.86" high for a shadow cut. Using the Add Text feature, Happy Birthday was printed on the tag using the Pink Crystal Pen.
Create a Critter- Flower is cut .95" wide x .74" high. The flower is added on the Happy Birthday tag.
The two tags shapes were also cut from cream paper. I glued that paper to the back of tags so a space to write a personal message will be available.
Pearls and ribbon from my stash were used to complete the card.

 View with tags lifted.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 182 Accessorize

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

It is time again for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. This week design team sister Sandy chose Ch. 182 Accessorize. Sandy asks that we add pearls or bling, or both to our projects. I chose to make a card for one of my Red Hat friends. My card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cut from Red Recollections cardstock. The Red Hat Society paper has been in my stash for awhile.

Cricut Cartridges:
Forever Young - Hat is cut 3.75" wide from the red and light purple papers. The hat is pop-dotted on the card.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Sentiment Happy Birthday Friend is written with the Cricut Midnight pen. Using Insert shape, I added a square which I changed to a 4.75" x 3.35" rectangle for the sentiment to be written on. This is used inside the card.

Recollections rhinestones, a purple flower, and purple sparkly trim was added for the bling! Of course a Red Hat Lady has to have the bling!
