With Love

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a good crafting weekend! I found some playing time in the craft room to make this card. The premade white card measures 5" x 6 1/2". Patterned papers are scraps from some pretty K&Company paper pads. Solid pinks are Recollections and the solid greens are from Cricut.
Cuttlebug - With Love Embossing folder is used on the lower green strip of paper.
Cricut Cartridges:
J. Goode Design Flower Bouquet  - Tulip is cut 3.25" wide x 3.167" high. I used three shades of pink for the flower. Top section of larger flower is pop-dotted on the lower section. Leaves/stems are made with two shades of green.

Cricut Pens:
Wine fine point pen - pink papers; Sour Apple medium point 1.0 on green leaves and stems.

I distressed edges of the mat paper with scissors and inked the edges. Top right corner is turned down and coordinating paper is added under it. I hand cut the flower from lace and pop-dotted it in corner. Pearls from my collections. Pink inking added to card base.

Simple, but I do like the results! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Get Well Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have enjoyed time in my craft room today and will share the card that I have just finished. Card measures 5" x 7" and I used pretty scrap papers from Anna Griffin. You may recognize the papers from previous projects. I noticed the current challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and thought this sketch would be fun to work with the small leftover papers!

Cuttlebug:
Feel Better Soon (set of four) embossing folders --- Get well soon is embossed on the light pink paper. Needing a Get well card, I was inspired by the challenge at Cuttlebug Mania. I have so many embossing folders and never used some. I like the small sentiment!
Anna Griffin Matelasse embossing folder is used on the darker pink strip.
Swiss Dots folder is used on the white mat.

Cricut Cartridges:
Anna's Window Ledge Card - Card is cut 10" wide x 7" high from white card stock.
Anna's Elegant Embellishments - Tag is cut 3" wide using the green and white papers.
Anna's Fantastic Flip Cards  - Roses cut 1.79" wide x 2.069" high. I cut 2 of the image. Butterfly cut 1" wide. Two images are cut with one cut on flip. These are print and cut images.
Using Insert Shapes - Square was changed to a 4.75" wide x 6.75" high rectangle to cut the floral background mat of the card.

White and green mats are pop-dotted on card. A white crinkle ribbon bow is added to the card. I used pink inking around the edges of paper.

I like the way the card turned out! Thanks for your visits and comments!

Card for a Red Hat Lady

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am sharing another card made for a Red Hat Lady! Card measures 5" x 7" when folded. The double-sided purple/lavender card stock used for the base of card is from The Paper Company. It has red and purple fibers throughout the sheet. I have had this paper a long time and thought it would be perfect for a Red Hat Lady. Other papers are Recollections.

Darling Dress Greeting Card SVG was purchased from Dreaming Tree. You can purchase the SVG here. I cut images at sizes that were brought into Cricut Design Space with the Cricut Maker. Leo has a great video showing the construction of the card! This is a beautiful design which can be made with many different color and paper combinations!

Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade embossing folder was used on the red papers of the dress.

Small gemstones are added for the necklace. A button from my Red Hat Lady stash is used on the inside corner. I combined variegated purple and red crinkle ribbons to make the bow.

Loving the looks of this one!

Mother's Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I finished another Mother's Day card. Above photo shows the inside of the card with the floral popup.Finished card is 5" x 7".  Papers include Colorbok white, Recollections for solid colors, and K&Company patterned paper.

I have wanted to use this pretty Mother's Day Bouquet Pop Up Card SVG file from Dreaming Tree. I purchased the bundle and this is the first project from the bundle that I have made. There is an excellent video showing the making of the card.

Front of Card

The SVG file includes a Happy Mother's Day phrase for the front of the card. I chose to use the phrase from the Darling Dress Greeting Card file.

Crinkle Ribbon Bow with the tiny flower is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Gemstones are from my stash. Pink inking used on some images.

I like the results of the card! Hope you enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With Mother's Day fast approaching, I wanted to make a card for my daughter. Card measures 7" wide x 5" high. Cricut Red and green cardstock, Recollections Shimmer Cardstock, and Recollections black cardstock are used on the project.

I have Cricut Access but I noticed there are many free Happy Mother's Day images available this week in Cricut Design Space. If you need a last minute card, check out those free images!

Cricut Cartridges:
Using Shapes, I changed the square into a 7" wide x 10" high rectangle and attached the score line to make the card. Also using Shapes, I cut the white rectangle mat 6.87" wide x 4.87" high.
Best Mom Ever Phrases - Happy Mother's Day phrase is cut 6.62" wide x 4.62" high.

I used the left over negative piece of the papers as a template to position the red, green, and black cut out pieces in approximate position. This worked out good for me with out all the guess work of it lining up correctly.

I like how the card turned out! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for your visits and comments!
