Warmest Wishes - Penguin

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With a little Cricut play time, I made a card to play along with a few challenges. The card is 5" x 6 1/2" white card stock. The pretty snowflake patterned paper is from Recollections Starry Night paper pad. Solid papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Simply Charmed - Penguin is cut 2.5" high. This image is shown in Cricut Design Space using the pinks colors. Of course, I love working with pink so I had to use pink!
Savory - Cocoa cup and spoon is cut 1.25" high. The Explore did not cut the cocoa image that goes in the cup without tearing it. After several failed attempts, I hand cut that piece of brown. I would recommend these images be cut at a larger size.
Wild Card - Warmest Wishes is cut 2.50" wide.
Winter Lace - Snowflake cut 1.75" wide.
Cuttlebug - Snowflakes is used on the two hand cut snow banks. Also used on the pink bow for a little dimension.

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Penguin
Die Cuttin Divas - Ch. 249 _ Brrr! Hot Cocoa, Please!
FCCB - Ch. 268 Snow
Little Scrap Pieces - Saturday Linky Party
DL.ART - #172 Penguin or Black, Yellow, & White
DoubleClick - Ch. 40 Anything goes
Decorate to Celebrate - Ch 2 Anything Goes

Hope you enjoy the card!

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 173 Feelin' Fussy

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts! For this challenge, our design team sister Sarah has chosen "Feeling Fussy"...she asked that we include some fussy cutting in our project. Well, I believe this is a first for me. I enjoy using my Cricut cutting machine and images, so I had to think hard on this one!

I am trying to work on Valentine cards for my family. Since I have a lot of K&Company scrap papers from many previous projects, I chose to hand cut out some of the pretty images from several papers and combined them for this card. Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". You will notice a row of hearts that I left together and then added the extra heart on the left. The two flowers and the word LOVE finishes the front. Maybe I was not "fussing" too much, but I knew the Cricut machine would have cut images much faster than me!

Thanks Sarah for the fun challenge! It is always good to try something different in paper crafting!

Please visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the pretty projects by the design team and our guest designer! For more information about the projects, please visit the individual blogs! Now it is your turn to play along with us! We look forward to seeing your pretty projects!

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I decided to start working on my cards! I thought this cute little owl would be perfect for my daughter! Card 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. Patterned papers are K&Company- these are left over scrap papers from previous projects.

Snowman

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been building another snowman! This is one of my favorite Cricut snowman! We seldom see snow in my area so I can only play with paper. This card measures approximately 5 1/2" x 5 1/4". Papers are from the scrap stash and I still see lots more paper in that stash. This all started with the frame!

Cricut Cartridges:
Disney Pooh and Friends - Snowflake frame is cut 5.6" wide x 5.25" high. This consists of 3 layers that I used - blue, white, and red. This is my first time to use this frame cut, and I am glad I did!
Christmas Kitsch - Snowman is cut 3" high. This snowman is the one for the shaped card in Design Space. I only cut the snowman because I wanted the layer colors for this image. Snowman is pop-dotted on card.
3 Birds on Parade - Phrase - Baby it's Cold Outside is cut 4.50" wide. This is used inside the card.

Cuttlebug Snowflakes is used on the white mat behind the snowman. I cut that mat by hand and place it behind the frame. Some cut out snowflakes are randomly used on the mat.
