My Sheri Crafts Ch. 148 - Let It Snow

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Now that the holidays are over and a new year has started, we are back with more fun challenges at My Sheri Crafts. Challenge 148 is Let It Snow! Sheri asked us to create a project that includes a snowflake. I have not seen any snowflakes in my area, but by watching the news, I see that many of you have.

I recently purchased the digital copy of Merry and Bright so I wanted to try the luminary box. I made this project using Cricut Expression and Cricut Craft Room. The box measures 4 1/4x2 7/8" and has 1 1/2' opening--just the right size for a small flameless candle. Paper is Recollection Starry Night. I added a piece of vellum behind the snowflake. I like the way this project turned out. Below is a side view of the box.

My Cricut Explore machine arrived after I completed the luminary. I just had to start playing with the Design Space so I quickly found the Nativity snowflake from When It's Cold Outside cartridge.

The image is cut at w 4.53" x h 4.67". The Explore cut it beautifully! White and patterned papers are left over from Christmas projects. I think this would make a nice ornament.

Now it is your turn to play along us. Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the lovely projects by the design team and our guest designer. For more details, please visit the designers' blogs.

Thank you for your visit and comment!

I still haven't gotten my Explore out the box yet, itching to do so but other things have to get done first. I love how it cute my favorite "snowflake" out! So beautiful and yes, it would make a lovely ornament!! Hug, Brenda

  5. Your luminaria is GORGEOUS with that huge snowflake! They're even more fun now that we have battery-operated candles that flicker just like a real flame, but are totally safe. I have one that comes on automatically for 5 hours every evening and then shuts off -- I LOVE it! Nice to have you back with us!
