My First Circular Side Step Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

This is another fun card style that my friend Cathy challenged me to make. It is my first attempt at making the Circular Side Step Card. Several tutorials are available on Pinterest. I followed the tutorial at Beccy's Place. Thanks for the good instructions.

Paper is from Prima Tales of You &Me 12 x 12 double sided paper pad.

Cricut Cartridges:
Insert Shapes - Circle for the base of card is cut 6.5" x 6.5". I used a hand trimmer for cutting the cutting line and a scoreboard for the score lines.
Anna's Window Ledge Cards - Rose Group of 3 - 3.023" wide x 2.2" high. Single rose is clipped off of another image from same cartridge.

Sentiment is from Anna Griffin Fancy Flip Card kit.

Of course, I wanted pinks and frills. Lace is from Michael's Adhesive Trims. Burlap butterfly and pearls from my stash drawer. Green bow is DMC Memory Thread. Flowers are pop-dotted for dimension.

I like the way this turned out. I am really glad that I took the challenge and may try making another card.

Thanks for your visits and comments!

  1. So feminine and beautiful. You know I love the roses. I love how you have the sentiment nestled in there and that butterfly is gorgeous!
