Mother's Day Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

With a little Cricut play time, I made a Mother's Day Card. Card is white cardstock and measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Patterned papers are K&Company. I love working with the pretty K&Company paper. I am using Mary's Sketch 3 at CARDZ TV. This is a fun sketch and I like how it turned out. Be sure to check out all the pretty sketches that Mary has shared.

Cricut Cartridges:
Spring Fling - Daisy flower is 3" high. This cartridge features the pen work. I used the Cricut Midnight pen.
Anna's Lovely Layered Cards - Happy Mother's Day sentiment. Using the insert shape, the sentiment is written on a 3.50" wide x 3.75" rectangle shape. This is used inside the card.

Cuttlebug Kassie's Brocade folder is used on the white mat. I added purple rhinestones on the flowers and the mat.

Sending you love is from Mary's CARDZ TV Encouraging Thoughts stamp set. A perfect sentiment to add to the Mother's Day card. Thanks Mary for the recent win of stamps!

Purple crinkled ribbon is from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces. Love the color! Thanks Karen for the pretty ribbons.

Day 13 - Valentines Cone Boxes

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing with more pretty K&Company double-sided Valentine papers. I enjoy working on Valentine's Day cards and projects!

Cricut cartridges:
Victorian Romance - Cone box is cut 8.25"h.
Sweethearts - Love heart tag is cut 2.5"h.

The cone boxes and heart layers are quickly cut with the Cricut Explore. The machine also cuts out the intricate cuts very well! The score marks for folding are not easily seen on patterned paper, but I managed the fold.

I made several of the cone boxes which will be used for treat boxes. I added candy inside each box and some of the boxes have pencils added too. I decided not to add the little love tag on all the boxes. Some boxes are for adults and some are for children.

A Quilted Christmas - Borders

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have been playing again with Cricut A Quilted Christmas cartridge. I am loving this cartridge. There are many pretty images and fun features available. Today I am sharing two cards made using the card feature and borders.
The top card is using the poinsettia Border 4 found on page 72. The lower card is using the gifts/packages Border 8 found on page 76. Both cards are cut at 5.5" from red Recollection paper. The liner is cut from a gold shimmer paper from Holiday Time.
I used Cricut Celebrate with Flourish to cut the sentiment Merry Christmas. It is cut at 1.75" from red and 2 different shades of green papers. The shadow is cut from the gold paper.
Simple cards and I like the finished look of the borders!

Red Hat Lady Twisted Easel Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a birthday card made for a Red Hat Lady using the twisted easel card style. Mary has a great tutorial at Cardz TV for the twisted easel card. This is a fun card style which I enjoy making. I think it makes a pretty card for display.

The base of the card is cut 4 1/4" x 9 3/4". Papers are Recollections, Brazill, and Colorbok white.
Cricut cartridges:
Kate's ABC's - Page 28 - Hat is cut 1.75"
Wild Card - Page 61 Phrase "Happy Birthday" is cut 4".
Spellbinders Nestabilities Label Ten is used on the purple and white mats.
Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots on the hat
Other supplies include Recollections Floral Embellishments and purple gemstones. Hat is pop-dotted on the mat. The sentiment mat is pop-dotted as a stop for the front of the card. Martha Stewart lavender ink.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch 78 Love is in the Air

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Thanks for stopping by today and also a big Thank You to my new followers!
It is Saturday and time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts! Design team member Sarah has chosen the theme for Challenge 78. It is "Love Is In the Air". In addition to Valentine's Day coming up, Sarah reminded us that February is Heart month. Sarah's theme is Love your Valentine, love your Heart and let's see at least two Hearts on your project!
Yes, Valentine's Day will soon be here!  Are you finished with all your cards? This may be perfect challenge to create that special card! For my special card, I tried another unique card style called Double Dutch Fold. I have a list with card styles to try and thought this style would be a great Valentine card! I found the tutorial at SplitCoastStampers.
The card started with a piece of 4 3/16" x 9" rosy pink cardstock. For the dutch fold bottom, I used a 2" x 8 1/2" piece of the same cardstock. My pretty double-sided patterned papers are K&Company Kelly Panacci Designer Paper pad. This is a good card style to make use of small left over papers.
Cricut Cartridges:
Love Struck - The couple image is the third image on the top row and the shadow cut is the third image on the second row. Image was cut at 3 1/2".
On the inside of the card, Love is the second image on the last row. It is cut 1.75".
I hand cut the small hearts that you see on the front of the card from tiny scraps of papers.
Other supplies include Martha Stewart inking and Recollections pearls on the heart. Sentiment stamp is a dollar stamp from Michael's. Martha Stewart Daisy corner punch was used on the corners of the white paper.

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts and see the lovely projects by the design team and this week's guest designer! We appreciate you visiting our blogs and leaving comments! Now it is turn to play along with us. Just follow the theme and be sure to include at least 2 hearts. One person will be chosen to be the next guest designer and several Ooh La La awards are presented. Deadline for entering is Friday Feb. 17. We look forward to seeing your pretty projects!
