A little Sunshine!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I had fun using my Cricut and these cute cuts to make a little scene. This will be a Mother's Day card for my MIL who loves gardening and flowers! The card is cut 5" x 6 1/2" from Recollection Cream cardstock. A corner punch was used to round the top edges of the card.
Cricut Cartridges:
Celebrate With Flourish - Sun is cut 2.25".
Bloom - Fence and flowers are cut 3". Word "Bloom" is cut 1".
Cricut Craft Room Basics - Butterfly is cut .75".
Papers are from the scrap stash and I tried to use several patterned papers for interest!

Cricut Happy Mother's Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I am sharing a Mother's Day card using one of the free images which was available in the Cricut Craft Room recently. While the image was free, I cut a couple more cards to have available in my stash. I do see it is available again in CCR if you are interested in trying this pretty cut.
Cricut Cartridge:
Mother's Day Cards 06 was cut 5.5" using white Colorbok cardstock. I chose to use a pretty floral patterned paper to layer behind the words. This is another one of those gorgeous papers that I did not want to cut, but now I am happy that I did!
Martha Stewart - Using Martha Stewart Lace Scallop Heart punch I offset a pink and green heart which is pop-dotted on the card.
A crinkled ribbon bow and Recollection gemstones add the finishing touches.

My First Flower Pot Pocket Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing my first try at a Flower Pot Pocket Card. I have been wanting to try this for some time. You can find the tutorial at SplitCoastStampers. My card is made using K&Company scrap papers from previous projects! Of course, I had to use my Cricut for the flower cuts!
Cricut Cartridges:
Mother's Day Bouquet - Flower 3 - Varying sizes from 1" to 2'' at 1/4" increments for the flower petals.
Home Decor - Border 4 cut 1.75" for the flourish. One is used at top of card and part of a second flourish cut is used at the bottom of flower pot.
Martha Stewart edge punch.
Photo of insert

My Craft Spot Friends & Neighbors Stamp used on the insert. Doily, lace, and ribbon from stash. Recollection pearls accent the centers of the flowers. Dew Drop Gingerbread inking.
I enjoyed trying this style of card! If you would like to try one, click on the tutorial link at top of post.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 109 Mother's Day

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Hi Friends! It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our talented Sandy chose Mother's Day as the theme for Challenge 109. She asked us to show what makes your Mother so unique. Maybe it is frills and lace, a sense of humor....show us in your card/project.

This is my first time to try the SplitCoastStampers's tutorial for a Diamond Origami Fold Card. The card style is so unique and with the pretty flower patterned papers, it is perfect for my Mom who loves flowers!
If you try the tutorial for the card, please note that on Step 2 the score lines should be 3 1/4" and 5 1/2" not the 3" and 5 1/2" given in the written instructions. That change is noted in one of the comments on the first page.

Cricut Cartridges:
Flower Shoppe - Page 13 - Scallop 4 is cut 2.25" and 2". Oops, I think Scallop 1 was 2".
Page 22 - Ruffle 5 is cut 1". I used 5 of these leaves.
Wedding - Hearts cut 1.5" using the basic and blackout images.
Mother's Day 2010 - Happy Mother's Day is cut 3".

Open view of card!

Martha Stewart Scroll Lace Corner punch is used on the rectangle mat. Ribbon is from stash. Lots of inking! Paper is double-sided K&Company. I enjoyed making this unique card and know that I will have to try it again.

Stop by My Sheri Crafts and view all the pretty Mother's Day projects by the talented design team and our guest designer for this challenge. For more details on the projects, please visit the individual blogs. Don't forget to show a little love - we love comments too!

Now it is time for you to join in our fun with a Mother's Day card/project showing us what makes your Mother unique. Remember several Ooh la la awards will be given and one person will be chosen to be our next guest designer! We look forward to seeing your work!

Another Folk Art Festival Card

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I had a request for a sunflower and the color purple. I decided to try another shaped card using Cricut Folk Art Festival. This is the results!
Cricut Cartridges:
Folk Art Festival - Page 71 - The purple card base is cut 5" using the Font Shadow image on shift. I used the Font Blackout on shift to cut the white mat. The image is rounded on all sides so I hand cut the left side to the same shape as card.
Walk In My Garden - Page 100 - Sunflower is cut at 4". Page 91 - Flowerpot is cut at 1.25".
Phrases - Page 22 - For the inside of the card, I Love You is cut 4". My photo goofed.
Cuttlebug:  Polka Dots folder used on the white mat.
Recollections gemstones used on the corners.

Thanks for looking!
