Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl

Welcome to Glenda's Cards and the Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

It's Fall and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to create projects to give thanks for our Harvest Blessings!  Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Fall project that includes Brown, Orange and Red – along with at least one Cricut cut.

If you've come from visiting Faith Abigail at http://www.faithabigaildesigns.com, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE .
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Harvest Blessings" project at FCCB!

Now for my project!

I am so happy to be participating in my first Fantabulous Cricut Crawl!  Thanks for stopping by!
We pause to give thanks for our many blessings! One of my blessings is that my family lives close to me. At this time of Thanksgiving, I wanted to have a scrapbook page for a family photo that we will take. This gorgeous 12" x 12" paper is from DCWV The Four Season Stack which was bought on clearance after last Christmas. The page is pretty alone and I would not want to cut the page, but I thought some pretty Cricut cuts would add a great finishing touch!

Cricut cartridge is Thanksgiving Seasonal. This cartridge has pretty images and words. However, there are only two cuts for the images and only one cut for the words. I chose to use the phrase Count Your Blessings and cut it from Red cardstock at 2.25"  The gold photo mat is hand cut at  5 3/8" x 4 1/4"; patterned mat is 5 1/8 " x 4". The Cricut cut strip of Brown is cut 1.25" and the Orange leaf overlay is cut at same size. I layered this cut over the photo mat and will slip the photo into it.
I love the words written on the page!

Not what we say about our blessings,
but how we use them,
is the true measure of our thanksgiving.

Now I do have a little blog candy! How about a $20.00 Walmart gift card to one lucky follower! How does that sound! We do not have a Michael's or Hobby Lobby in my little hometown, but we do have Walmart Supercenter.
To be eligible to win, you must be a follower of my blog and leave me a comment on this post. Please include a way to contact you should you be the winner of the drawing. US mailing address only.  Drawing will be Friday  Nov. 18.

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you!

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Harvest Blessings projects!  Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and be sure to use the colours Brown, Orange and Red as well!

Next stop… Jamie A.'s blog, at http://scrapqueen141.blogspot.com/   Go
and see what she has in store for you today.  And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!
Happy Crawling!

Following is the line up of designers if you have come on my blog and would like to participate in the crawl.

Bug Bites Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop

Welcome to BugBites first ever Bug Hop, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.
This weekend it is all about the Grillin’, May 28-30.
If you've come from visiting Lisa at A Mermaid's Craft, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning.
Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.
But, there’s a twist. Your project must include at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs. Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.
While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

I am so excited to be participating in this fun blog hop with all the talented ladies! For my card, I chose the apron on Cricut From My Kitchen cartridge. I have been wanting to use the cut for quite some time. Around my house, someone needs to wear an apron and I guess it would be me! I am busy in the kitchen with preparations while hubby tends to the grilling.

The card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock and is covered with a blue paper of the same size. The second layer of red gingham paper is cut at 4 3/4" x 6 1/4''. White mat is 3 1/2" x 3 3/4" and the floral mat is 3 3/4" x 4".

Cricut cartridges:
From My Kitchen - Apron on page 51 cut 3 1/2"; Spatula on page 44 cut 1 3/4"
3 Birds on Parade - What's Cookin? - phrase and shadow features on page 55 cut at 1 3/4"
Cuttlebug:  Divine Swirls - on white mat
Papers - Recollections, DCWV Berry Street Farmer's Market for the floral apron, and ColorBok.
Lots of inking!

I added two red buttons and bows to the spatulas. The bows are made with DMC Color Infusions Memory Thread..actually a soft fiber wrapped wire. I found this product at Michael's near the DMC cross-stitch thread. Great way to add embellishments! Of course, it can be added with stitched items too. I love the way it bends and curls. Hope you love it too!
For my blog candy I will be giving three pretty colors of the DMC Memory Thread. To be eligible for the drawing, you must be a follower of my blog and you must leave a comment on this post. Please leave a way to contact you should you be the winner. Sorry, but due to high postal rates, I can only mail to USA. The winner will be announced on May 31.

Next stop...Pat's blog, Pat's Scraps. See what she has in store for you today.
Remember, once you have hopped to all the bug stops, it's your turn to show us your Grillin’ & Chillin’ project.
Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project, include one of the hidden critters and link up your project over at BugBites by Midnight CST May 30 to be eligible for the big prize.

This is a list of all the ladies participating in the blog hop.

Flaunt It Fridays Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Flaunt It Fridays Birthday Bash Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from talented Stacey of Stacey's Creative Corner, you are in the right place. If not and you would like to start at the beginning go directly to Flaunt It Fridays.

This week we are flaunting the little bunny with present on page 27 of the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge.

For my project, I made a cute little Easter basket for a Red Hat Lady. I found a great tutorial at SplitCoastStampers. The base of the basket starts with one piece of 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock. One piece of 1" x 11" piece of cardstock is needed for the basket handle. You will need one 1 1/2" x 15" of patterned paper to decorate the basket and one 7/8" x 11" of patterned paper to decorate the handle. See the tutorial for the complete directions! I used the Martha Stewart doily lace edge punch on a piece of the purple paper and glued it around the top edges of the basket. To secure the handles of the basket, I used Red Hat Society brads. The little bunny is cut at 2 3/4 inches using a lavender piece of K&Company Designer Mat Pad. I used an Action Wobble on the bunny and placed it on the basket. It is so cute when it wobbles. Here is a close up view of the Wobble and my cute little brad.

For my second project, I chose to make a card to go along with the basket.

These projects are my first time to use the Birthday Bash cartridge. I was pleasantly surprised to see a cut for a crown! This is the card/tag cut on page 47 and is cut at 5 3/4 inches. For the remaining cuts, I used the Layer 1 and Layer 2 on page 56 cut at 6 inches. First I tried 5 3/4" (same as card size) but it was too small, so I used a size larger. I trimmed off a bit of the red check paper for a better fit. Hmm, guess I need to learn to use a Gyspy! Of course, Red Hat Ladies like bling! I added little red hearts which was a Valentine clearance, Recollections gemstones, and Diamond Stickles. For the inside of the card, I used the phrase feature on page 56 to cut Royal Wishes at 3 inches. "For you" phrase is found on page 34 and is cut at 2 1/4 inches. This is photo of the inside of the card. I hope you enjoy my projects!

Now for a little blog candy! I have a package of Special Moments scrapbook stickers, a package of Miss Elizabeths Scrapbook Embellishments-Travel theme, and 5 mats that I have embossed with some of my favorite Cuttlebug folders.

To be entered in the drawing for my blog candy, you must leave a comment on this post. Please leave a way to contact you if you are my winner. USA or Canada mailing address only due to cost of postage. You do not have to be a follower, but if you enjoy my work and would like to be a follower, I would appreciate that!
The hop will stay open all weekend. I know the talented ladies have some great projects to share with you. I will announce my winner of the blog candy on Monday!

We invite you to play along with the challenge by entering a project using the bunny/present. If you do not have Birthday Bash, you can use a similar cut from another cartridge!

"You Say It's Your Birthday" Blog Hop

If you are looking for my Paper Playtime post, please scroll on down after this post!

Yes! It is your birthday! Happy Birthday Ashley!! Wishing you a wonderful day!!

Hi everyone and thanks for joining me today for the "You Say It's Your Birthday" Blog Hop! If you arrived at my blog from talented Elsa of Cricutlvr, then you are in the right place. If not, and you would like to start at the beginning, please click here.

Many thanks to my talented friend, Erika, of Cricut Love for inviting me to participate in this special event. Erika has planned the hop to celebrate her daughter Ashley's birthday. Isn't this so sweet and exciting! The theme of the hop is quite exciting too! Erika's love for music by the Beatles has been instilled into her children. For this hop, Erika asked each of us to make a project based on a song by the Beatles!  Whoo hoo! I love the Beatles! I was a teenager when the Beatles made their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show! That has been a few years ago! lol!
I had a hard time choosing between so many great songs. I decided to use the song "Love Me Do".

The card is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 white cardstock. I cut a piece of the pretty K&Company paper at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and layered it on the card. For the white mat, I cut a piece of white textured cardstock 5 1/4 x 4 inches and run it through the Cuttlebug using the Allergo folder. I love how the music notes look on the paper! All my Cricut cuts are from Cricut cartridge Sweethearts. The Love stamp is found on page 49 and is cut at 3 inches. The scallop heart is on page 72 and is cut at 2 1/4 inches. The small red heart is the heart that is cut out of the stamp. For the words, I cut Marry Me which is on page 46 using the shadow cut at 1 1/2 inch. I discarded the Marry for this project. I Do is on page 60 and was cut using the shadow cut at 1/2 inch. Just used the word Do on my project. Now I have the words of my song---Love Me Do!! Used lots of Martha Stewart inking and some foam dots to add dimension.

Ok, for a little blog candy! I will be giving away this pretty Martha Stewart set of leaf and branch clear stamps to one of my followers. To be eligible to win, you must be a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post. Also, please leave a way to contact you if you should be the lucky winner! US mailing address only.

Flaunt It Friday Hello Kitty Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Flaunt It Friday's Hello Kitty Blog Hop! If you are here from Jenny Johnson, then you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go directly to Flaunt It Fridays. For this week's challenge we were asked to flaunt the Hello Kitty with Airplane on Page 65 from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cart.

I am so excited to be participating in Flaunt It Friday Hello Kitty Greetings Blog Hop with Janis, Sandra, and the talented design team. We were asked to flaunt the airplane cut from Cricut Hello Kitty but I do not have that cartridge. Wanting to play along, I am using the airplane cut on page 66 from Everyday Paper Dolls. My project is an altered gift bag that I decorated with a Valentine's theme. The white strips are cut using the Martha Stewart Lace Heart edge punch and glued to my patterned paper background. I cut the airplane at 2 3/4 inches using a patterned paper. Ballons are cut 2, 2 1/2, and 3 inches from Create a Critter page 49. The phrase Special Delivery is also cut from Create a Critter page 67 at 1 1/2 inch. Wanting to add a bit of interest to the balloons, I chose Love Struck 2010 for the heart words. A bit of lace and gemstones from my stash and my altered bag is ready for gift giving!

For my second project, I made a tag for the gift bag. The tag is the Smitten Kitten cut on page 45 from Sweethearts cartridge and is cut 3 3/4 inches. The reverse of the tag is the Heart tag on page 32 from the same cartridge. I cut a strip of white paper using the Martha Stewart Heart Lace punch and glued it between the two tags.

Now how about a little blog candy!!

This pretty pack of Colorbok paper has 30 (8 1/2X11 in) papers, 134 stickers, and 74 punch-outs. Also included is a package of Favorite Findings buttons. All you must do to qualify to win my Blog Candy is to leave a comment of this post. You do not have to be a follower, but of course, I would love it if you were!
Please leave a way to contact you. USA mailing address only.

Our hop will run all weekend long and I will chose the winner for my blog candy on Monday Jan. 10th.
You must leave a comment on everyone's blog to have a chance to win the Grand Prize Giveaway which is the Love Always stamp set sponsored by Pink By Design. The grand prize will be on Sandra's blog! You will have all weekend to complete the hop and we will draw the winner sometime on Monday or Tuesday.
Thank You so much for taking the time to hop with us for the Flaunt It Friday's Hello Kitty Blog hop. We can't wait to see how you "Flaunt" your Hello Kitty this week at Flaunt It Fridays .
Your NEXT STOP is Viviana.
