Flaunt It Fridays - CH# 24 Pooh Font

Happy Friday Friends! It is time again for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays. For challenge # 24, we are asked to use Cricut Pooh Font for the Tigger and Ducky cut on page 61.
My card is 5 x 6 1/2 inches and layered with a Recollections stripe paper. The green mat paper is from Colorbok. I used the Martha Stewart Embossed Zig Zag edge punch on the edges and then mounted it on a black mat.
I bought this cartridge when Michaels had a clearance sale on some of the older cartridges and I must admit that this is the first time to cut a Disney character. Tigger and Ducky are cut at 2 inches. The layers worked well and I am pleased with the results! Using black cardstock, the letters are cut at 1 inch to spell Hello and yellow cardstock is used for the shadow feature.
Now it is your turn to play with us. Remember if you do not have the Pooh Font cartridge, you can use a similar cut from another cartridge. For some great inspiration, visit the design team members' blogs. You can go to the blogs from the home page at Flaunt It Friday.
We are happy to have http://www.scrapbook.com/ as our sponsor for the May Grand Prize! It is a $20.00 gift certificate to their store. What fun! A shopping trip! To qualify for the grand prize, all you have to do is enter our challenges. The more challenges you enter, the more chances you have to win. One winner is chosen from each weekly challenge and the winner's name goes into the drawing for the monthly grand prize.
We look forward to seeing your creativity...card, layout, altered item, etc.

Hope you enjoy my card!

Flaunt It Fridays #22 - Wrap It Up

Hello Bloggers and Hello Friday! It is time again for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays! For this week's challenge we are using Cricut Wrap It Up cartridge and are flaunting the castle on page 24. I do not have that cartridge, but I found a cute castle on  page 22 on Life's A Party cartridge. The handbook shows the castle in red and purple---now is that my sign! I always need cards for friends in the Red Hat Society and we love being queens! I cut the castle using the card feature at 10 inches. This results in a large card with the finished size being 4 1/2 x 10 at the highest point. Every queen wants a large castle!!
Royal wishes which is found on page 56 on Birthday Bash is cut at 2 1/2 inches.
Cuttlebug folders: Moroccan Screen - door, Swiss dots on the red tower pieces.
I randomly placed the punched crowns. These cuts were given to me by a friend. To add bling, I added lots of Recollection gemstones. Inside the card, I used the phrase Happy Birthday from Birthday Bash cut at 4 inches.
Now it is your turn to flaunt the castle. If you do not have the cartridge, you may use a similar cut from another cartridge. For great inspiration from the talented members of the design team, please visit their blog listed on Flaunt It Fridays home page.

We are happy to have http://www.scrapbook.com/ as our sponsor for the May Grand Prize! It is a $20.00 gift certificate to their store. Wow! A shopping trip! To qualify for the grand prize, all you have to do is enter our challenges. The more challenges you enter, the more chances you have to win.

We look forward to seeing your paper projects- card, layouts or altered item, etc.
Hope you enjoy my card!

Flaunt It Fridays #20 - Cindy Loo

It is time for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays! This week we are using Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge and anything goes. You can choose any cut that you would like to use. I do not have this cartridge so this was a challenge for me! First I viewed the online handbook to see the different cuts. While looking through my different cartridges, I chose images that I thought would represent some of the images on Cindy Loo--a birdhouse, scallop border, flourish, and the word Hello.
Card is 5 x 6 1/2 and is layered with a piece of Recollections paper. My papers are scraps leftover from other projects. I like it when I can use some of my scrap papers!

Cricut cartridges:
Stretch Your Imagination - Birdhouse on page 63 cut 2 1/4 inches. Birdhouse is pop-dotted.
Lovely Florals - Mats - This cut is the second image on the second row. Brown scallop mat is cut at 3 1/4 inches and the cream mat is cut at 3 1/2. I first cut both mats at 3 1/2 but decided to have less of the brown mat showing.
Home Decor - Flourish is the 3rd key on the first row cut at 1 1/4 inches.
Wild Card - Hello on page 72 cut at 4 1/2 inches.
Cuttlebug folders:  Distressed Stripes - Birdhouse;  Birds and Swirls - Cream mat
I used a punch for the corners and lots of inking!

Be sure to check out the projects by the design team at Flaunt It Fridays! Now it is your turn to flaunt the cuts from Cindy Loo with us. Remember if you do not have the cartridge, you can use similar cuts from another cartridge. Just a reminder that this month's Grand Prize is a Joy's Life Lot's of Pun stamp set sponsored by Sheree. We look forward to seeing your paper projects..it can be a card, layout, tag, etc. You have one week to enter!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Hope you enjoy the card!

Flaunt It Fridays - Simply Charmed

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week! I am glad it is Friday! That means it is time for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays! This week we are using Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge for Fish 2 (shift button) on page 41.  My card is  5 x 6 1/2 and is layered with a Recollections striped paper. The fish and pole are cut at 3 inches. I used the words that are also on page 41, thinking it would be a cute anniversary card. "Caught me" is cut at 3/4 inch. Using Create A Critter, I cut the water that is on page 44 at 1 3/4 inches. The white mat is embossed with the Polka Dots folder. Lots of inking and the card is finished!

Check out the amazing projects by the design team at Flaunt It Fridays for inspiration. We invite you to Flaunt the fish cut with us! Remember if you do not have this cartridge, you can use one with a similar image. Our monthly grand prize is Joy's Life "Lots of Pun" stamp set. Wow! I would like that prize! We look forward to seeing your paper projects--card, layout, altered item, etc. You have until midnight Thursday to submit your project.
Hope you enjoy my card!

Flaunt It Fridays 3 Birds on Parade

Hi everyone! Welcome to another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays. Exciting news! We are having weekly challenges again!! This week we are flaunting the disguise bird on page 36 of the Cricut 3 Birds on Parade cartridge. For my project, I have altered a 4x6 photo album that I purchased from Walmart for one dollar. I was surprised at that low price for the mini album which holds 36 photos. My grandkids are always dressing up for different occasions and school events so I thought this would be a fun album for some of those photos.
Cricut cartridges:
3 Birds on Parade - Disguise bird cut at 3 inches. "playing dress up" is cut at 1 1/2 inches.
Lacy Labels - Scalloped oval mats cut at 4 inches. This key is the second from last on the last row.
Cuttlebug - Swiss dots
Matha Stewart inking. Paper is from scraps stash.

Be sure to check out the amazing projects by the talented members of the design team. Yo can go to each of their blogs from Flaunt It Fridays home page. We invite you to play along with us! Submit your paper project..card, scrapbook page, altered item. etc. Remember if you do not have this cartridge, you can use a similar cut from another cartridge. You have until midnight next Thursday to submit your project! Looking forward to seeing how you flaunt this little bird!

Flaunt It Fridays Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Flaunt It Fridays Birthday Bash Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from talented Stacey of Stacey's Creative Corner, you are in the right place. If not and you would like to start at the beginning go directly to Flaunt It Fridays.

This week we are flaunting the little bunny with present on page 27 of the Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge.

For my project, I made a cute little Easter basket for a Red Hat Lady. I found a great tutorial at SplitCoastStampers. The base of the basket starts with one piece of 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" piece of cardstock. One piece of 1" x 11" piece of cardstock is needed for the basket handle. You will need one 1 1/2" x 15" of patterned paper to decorate the basket and one 7/8" x 11" of patterned paper to decorate the handle. See the tutorial for the complete directions! I used the Martha Stewart doily lace edge punch on a piece of the purple paper and glued it around the top edges of the basket. To secure the handles of the basket, I used Red Hat Society brads. The little bunny is cut at 2 3/4 inches using a lavender piece of K&Company Designer Mat Pad. I used an Action Wobble on the bunny and placed it on the basket. It is so cute when it wobbles. Here is a close up view of the Wobble and my cute little brad.

For my second project, I chose to make a card to go along with the basket.

These projects are my first time to use the Birthday Bash cartridge. I was pleasantly surprised to see a cut for a crown! This is the card/tag cut on page 47 and is cut at 5 3/4 inches. For the remaining cuts, I used the Layer 1 and Layer 2 on page 56 cut at 6 inches. First I tried 5 3/4" (same as card size) but it was too small, so I used a size larger. I trimmed off a bit of the red check paper for a better fit. Hmm, guess I need to learn to use a Gyspy! Of course, Red Hat Ladies like bling! I added little red hearts which was a Valentine clearance, Recollections gemstones, and Diamond Stickles. For the inside of the card, I used the phrase feature on page 56 to cut Royal Wishes at 3 inches. "For you" phrase is found on page 34 and is cut at 2 1/4 inches. This is photo of the inside of the card. I hope you enjoy my projects!

Now for a little blog candy! I have a package of Special Moments scrapbook stickers, a package of Miss Elizabeths Scrapbook Embellishments-Travel theme, and 5 mats that I have embossed with some of my favorite Cuttlebug folders.

Flaunt It Fridays Challenge - Twinkle Toes

Hello and thanks for stopping by today. It is the first Friday of the month! This means it is time for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays. This week we are flaunting any cut from Cricut Lite Twinkle Toes cartridge. For my project, I made an easel card using Dancer1. I started with a 4 1/4 x 11 inches piece of Colorbox white textured cardstock and scored it at 5 1/2 and then again at 2 3/4 inches. When folded the card size will be 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. The patterned background paper is cut same size as card. For the mat, a piece of white cardstock was cut 4 x 5 1/4 inches and run through the Cuttlebug using the Scroll Works folder. This gives a nice frame for my little dancer. The dancer image is cut at 4 inches using each of the key functions.
The three hearts and Dance are each cut at 3 1/4 inches using each of the key functions. The blue heart is embossed with the Cuttlebug Hearts Folder for a little more dimension!
I used gold trim at the dancer's waistline, gold Stickles on the bows, and lots of inking. Dancer and the heart mats are pop-dotted.
Now we would like to see your paper projects! The design team display fantastic projects for your inspiration this week. Be sure to visit and leave some love! Remember, if you do not have Twinkle Toes cartridge, you may use a similar cut from another cartridge!
Just a reminder that Flaunt It Fridays will only have challenges on the first and third Fridays of the month. This will give you more time to submit your project. So have fun and we look forward to seeing your projects!
Hope you enjoy my little dancer! Your comments are always appreciated!
I am entering this at Creative Sisters Monday Challenge---Embossing!

Flaunt It Fridays #12 Forever Young, Model 1, Silhouette

Thanks for stopping by today. It is time for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays. We are using Cricut Forever Young and are flaunting Model 1 using the emblem (silhouette) feature. This cut is found on page 24 in the handbook. I cut the model silhouette image and the solid emblem at 3 inches.

There are so many pretty shaped card features on the cartridges that I seem to forget to use. For this card, I am using Cricut Sentimentals for the card base found on page 61. I just love the scroll edge. The scroll edge could also be used on the side opening of a card. I cut the card feature at 5 inches using some of my favorite double-sided K&Company designer paper.

To add a vintage look to the card, I made flowers. For the flowers, I used Plantin Schoolbook for the cut on page 77. I cut several flowers in varying sizes starting at 2 1/4 for the largest down to 1 inch. The paper is Life's Journey, another K&Company paper pack of double-sided papers. I chose a paper that had antique looking postcards on one side and the opposite side had newspaper print advertising. I used some of each of the paper patterns for the flowers. For the flowers, I used lots of inking, rolled edges under a bit, pop-dotted the layers and added pearl centers to finish the look. Lace and ribbon are from my stash!

Before you try this particular card feature on Sentimentals, I will mention that the lower edges of the scrolls do not line up evenly with the lower edge of the back side of the card. When the card is folded, the right hand side of the scrolls extends a bit past the edge of the card. You may notice a difference in the lower edges in my photo. I do not know if this is a problem on each Sentimental cartridge or just my particular cartridge. I think it adds more of a unique character to the card!!

Hope you enjoy my card! Now it is your turn to flaunt the model silhouette with us! Remember you can use a similar cut if you do not have the Forever Young cartridge. We look forward to seeing your pretty paper projects!

Flaunt It Fridays - Paper Pups Challenge

Hi everyone! It is Friday and time for another fun challenge at Flaunt It Fridays. Challenge #9 is to use the dog and cat border feature on the Cricut Paper Pups cartridge. This is found on page 104. I do not have this cartridge and I want to say many thanks to my talented design team friend Pam for making the cut for me. The cut is 2 1/2 inches. She hid the inside with the Gyspy and made the solid background. The hearts are cut at 1 1/2 and 1 inch. Wanting to use a Valentine theme, I was so excited to receive the cut and see the gorgeous paper she used on the cat and dog. Aren't the Peachy Keen eyes so cute? I just love it!!

My background paper is from K&Company and is layered on a 6 1/2 x 5 white card. An EK punch was used to make the corners at top of the card. I cut the phrase "You & Me" from the Cricut Sweethearts cartridge. This image is on page 39 and is cut at 2 inches on the regular cut and shadow cut. It is pop-dotted on the card. I recently bought the Sweethearts cartridge and I am loving all the pretty cuts. The hearts are also pop-dotted.

Hope you enjoy my card! Now it is your turn to Flaunt your project with us! If you do not have the cartridge, you may use a similar cut from another cartridge. We would love to see your card, layout, altered project, etc. You have one week to summit your entry. Hope to see you there!

Flaunt It Friday Hello Kitty Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Flaunt It Friday's Hello Kitty Blog Hop! If you are here from Jenny Johnson, then you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go directly to Flaunt It Fridays. For this week's challenge we were asked to flaunt the Hello Kitty with Airplane on Page 65 from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cart.

I am so excited to be participating in Flaunt It Friday Hello Kitty Greetings Blog Hop with Janis, Sandra, and the talented design team. We were asked to flaunt the airplane cut from Cricut Hello Kitty but I do not have that cartridge. Wanting to play along, I am using the airplane cut on page 66 from Everyday Paper Dolls. My project is an altered gift bag that I decorated with a Valentine's theme. The white strips are cut using the Martha Stewart Lace Heart edge punch and glued to my patterned paper background. I cut the airplane at 2 3/4 inches using a patterned paper. Ballons are cut 2, 2 1/2, and 3 inches from Create a Critter page 49. The phrase Special Delivery is also cut from Create a Critter page 67 at 1 1/2 inch. Wanting to add a bit of interest to the balloons, I chose Love Struck 2010 for the heart words. A bit of lace and gemstones from my stash and my altered bag is ready for gift giving!

For my second project, I made a tag for the gift bag. The tag is the Smitten Kitten cut on page 45 from Sweethearts cartridge and is cut 3 3/4 inches. The reverse of the tag is the Heart tag on page 32 from the same cartridge. I cut a strip of white paper using the Martha Stewart Heart Lace punch and glued it between the two tags.

Now how about a little blog candy!!

This pretty pack of Colorbok paper has 30 (8 1/2X11 in) papers, 134 stickers, and 74 punch-outs. Also included is a package of Favorite Findings buttons. Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to all my blogging friends! Sharing a card made for a Red Hat friend to celebrate the New Year. Red cardstock was cut to make a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 card. I cut a piece of white textured cardstock 1/4 inch smaller and embossed parts of it with the Cuttlebug Folders Swiss Dots and one of borders of the With Love set. I lightly inked the embossed parts using Martha Stewart ink. Using my Martha Stewart scoreboard, I scored two lines on each end of the white cardstock. The martini glass is cut at 2 1/4 inches from a piece of  lavender pearlescent paper using Cricut From My Kitchen cartridge. Yea, FMK is one of the cartridges Santa brought me!! I used Cricut Wild Card to cut Cheers at 5 inches and the little swirl at 2 1/4 inches.
Of course, I like to add bling to Red Hat cards so I used a red gemstone on the glass and placed purple gemstones on the flower centers and at corners.
This week at Flaunt It Fridays, challenge 5 is From My Kitchen - Martini cut. The talented design team displays very pretty projects for inspiration. If you do not have the cartridge, you can use a cartridge with a similar cut. I was so tickled that I had this cartridge!! So hurry on over and enter your project!!

Hope you enjoy my card!

Red Hat Snowlady Purse

I had so much fun making this purse using a Red Hat Society theme for one of my friends. The purse is cut from Forever Young at 5 inches. Recently my friend Sharon sent me a Red Hat purse that she made and filled it with yummy cookies. I just love it and thought my Red Hat friends would like a purse too, maybe filled with a few trinkets or candy!!
The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is Gifts Galore--make a handmade gift or gift package. This will be my entry for the challenge!
I wanted to also participate at the new Flaunt it Fridays 1st challenge which is the snowman cut on page 29 of Winter Frolic. Not having that cartridge I used Winter Woodland for my snowlady- page 47, cut 3 inches. Of course a Red Hatter wears red and purple and loves bling, so I used these colors for her hat and scarf and covered the snowlady with diamond Stickles. She really sparkles!
I just love it when I can participate in several challenges with my project. This week at Paper Playtime, the challenge is Snowflakes. Oh! I do need snowflakes for my snowlady!! The two large snowflakes are cut from Winter Woodland page 35, one is cut 1 1/2 and the smaller one is 1 1/4 inches. To add more snowflakes, I used the reverse cut from a Martha Stewart Snowflake edge punch. I added the stickles to the snowflakes and added a couple of red gemstones. To finish the purse, I wrapped shiny red tinsel around the handles and added the words "ooh la la" which were cut from Forever Young at 1/2 inch. Now can a Red Hat Lady resist this purse!!

Be sure to visit the great blogs for inspiration --you still have time to enter your project.

Thanks for your visit and I appreciate your comments.
