Back to School

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

School has started in our area. Where did the summer go? I have been playing with a school theme card. Card measures 6" x 6" and is cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The background paper is from a Mary E. Co. paper pack which I have had for a couple of years. A, B, C and 1, 2, 3 are printed on the border of the paper with the apples. I am not sure if you can see that very well..my camera was misbehaving!

Cricut Cartridges:
3 Birds on Parade - School Days is cut 2.84" wide 1.27" high.
Create a Friend - #1 teacher is cut 3.50" wide.
Walk in My Garden - Sunflowers. This cut is the sunflower on the stem but I cut off the stem. This is one of the earlier cartridges that I bought.
Plantin Schoolbook - Using the Text Box, 1,2,3 and A, B, C were cut .50" high.

Sunflowers are pop-dotted on the card. A piece of  measure tape trim was used for the bow.

Beach Time

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having very hot weather with more days of 100 degrees on the way! I am so thankful for my air conditioner! Inspiration for this card came from BBTB2 and its current challenge "Cool Down by the Sea". Using a search in Cricut Design Space, I chose this chair card image for my project. Papers are white Colorbok and left over pieces from other projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Life is A Beach - Beach chair card is cut 8.50" wide, 5.9" high from the white cardstock. When folded the card measures approximately 4.25" x 6". A green patterned paper was cut for the chair. A blue sky paper was hand cut for the liner behind the opening. Image Set of 3 Sea gulls is cut 1.35" wide, 1.37" high. I used only one sea gull.
Summer Love - Beach girl is cut 2.10" wide 3.88" high.
Paper Dolls Every Day - Water is cut 5.50" wide.
Create a Friend - Words "Beach Time" is cut 2.94" wide, 1.63" high.
Pink Journey - Sandals cut .59" wide. She has already kicked off your shoes!

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Cool Down by the Sea
The Sisterhood of Crafters- Summer Heat - Colors or theme

Hello Pink and Lavender

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

After seeing the pretty and inspiring projects from some challenge blogs, I wanted to play along! Pink and Lavender --Yes, some of my favorite colors! Usually I choose a Cricut image first, but playing with a sketch and colors, it took me awhile to decide on the Cricut image. There are so many pretty images available. This is the results!
Card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. Of course, I had to use some of my favorite K&Company papers! I sure need to be looking for another one of the pretty paper pads. This is my second, maybe third, pad. Can you tell I love these papers!!

Cricut Cartridge is Lacy Labels. The Hello label is cut 3.42" wide, 3.78" high. It is pop-dotted on the card for added dimension. Can you believe I only used one Cricut image!

Adhesive pearl strand and purple crochet flower are from Recollections. Small pink paper flowers were found at a flea market. Edges of background papers are frayed.

Christmas Kitsch- Snowman

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today I am sharing a card made using the Cricut Christmas Kitsch cartridge. I love this cartridge. It has so many pretty images and also makes a shaped card. The card is cut at 5.5 inches. The pretty double-sided paper is from a K&Company pad that I have had quite some time. The card and images can be found on page 25 and 26.

Inside of card
Merry Christmas image is also from the same cartridge. Image and shadow are cut 2.5 inches and can be found on page 88. I think this makes a pretty card and can be mailed easily.
