BBTB2 - 3-D Halloween Treat Container

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at BBTB2! Our talented design team sister Jeri asked up to create a 3-D Halloween Treat container using any Cricut cartridge. Several cartridges have 3D boxes. I have been playing with Wrap it Up and chose the cute pumpkin box for my project.
Purple Recollection paper was used for the box and the other papers are from my scrap stash.
Cricut Cartridge:
Wrap It Up - Page 59 Pumpkin box is cut at 9". Using the Cricut Craft Room and playing with the sizes, I used the Basic and Layer cuts so I would have the four different colors that you see. Phrase Happy Halloween is cut 1".

I love this time of the year- the cooler weather and the pretty colors of the season. Pumpkins, gorgeous mums, and scarecrows have been selling fast! With that in mind, I chose Happy Fall/Pumpkin for our challenge this week. We want to see pumpkins, but No Halloween pumpkin. You can use any Cricut cartridge but remember the pumpkin must be a Cricut cut. We also ask that you tell us in your post which Cricut cartridge you used. Have fun! We look forward to seeing your pumpkins!
Cricut Cartridges:
Damask Decor - Page 68 - I used the pumpkin card feature for my card. The card base is cut at 5" from brick red cardstock.Using layer 1and 2,  the pumpkin is cut from green and the reddish orange papers and glued to the card base. Stripe paper on the inside is from K&Company TC Halloween and Fall paper pad. I also added a small piece of the same paper at the top corners of the card under the pumpkin.
Simply Scarecrow - This scarecrow is the third image on the first row and is cut at 3.5". Fall is cut at 1.5".
Cuttlebug: Polka Dots on the pumpkin and Divine Swirls on the green stem.

BBTB2 - Use a Tree

 Welcome to Glenda's Cards

Today begins another fun and inspirational challenge at BBTB2! Our talented designer Jayne asked us to create a project using a tree from any Cricut cartridge. My first thought was to add to my Christmas cards!
Card is 5" x 7" cut from white Colorbok cardstock. The Martha Stewart Holidays paper is a leftover piece from another project.
Cricut cartridge is Trim the Tree! I bought this cartridge last year and decided I should try one of the images! These are pretty, yet intricate images. Using the larger card size, I cut the tree image at 5.50". Choosing the paper for the tree background posed a problem. Would you believe I cut a green, gold, and white image! I decided to use the white image.
Other supplies include Recollections red gemstones used to decorate the tree. Star button at the top of the tree was in my stash. I added a bow made with DMC Memory Thread.
Creative Charms- Happy Christmas.

Visit BBTB2 to see the beautiful and inspiring projects by the design team. For more information, please visit the individual blogs and leave a little love!
Now it is your turn to play along with us! Remember the tree must be a Cricut cut and please mention in your blog post which cartridge you used. One person will be chosen to receive the Project of the Week badge!

Thanks for stopping by today! Your comments are appreciated!
