My Sheri Crafts Ch. 75 Let It Snow

Hi and Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts with "Let It Snow"! This is the last challenge of the year and we have a fun theme! We are asked to create a card/project with a snow or snowflake theme. We do not have snow very often in my area so I really got carried away with the snowflake theme! My card was cut at 6 3/4" x 10" from Colorbox white cardstock. I used the Martha Stewart Aspen Snowflake Punch Around The Page punches to achieve the snowflake edges on my card.
The snowflake mat is cut from Deja Views Fair Isle Christmas at 4" x 51/4".

Cricut Cartridge:
Winter Lace - The snowflake "Hearts" is the second image on the first row. It was cut using the Cricut Craft Room at 3". I thought the hearts on this image were so pretty. It does take awhile for the Cricut to cut out the snowflakes.

I am sharing a couple more similar cards but with a different snowflake cut. Did I say that I am loving this cartridge! For a little extra bling, I added a red gemstone in the center of each snowflake. The snowflake is pop-dotted on the mat.
The handmade sentiment stickers are Holiday Time which were purchased during an after Christmas sale last year.

Hope you enjoy my cards and are inspired to play along with us at My Sheri Crafts! Be sure to visit the design team members to see the lovely projects they have created!  Now we would love to see your projects for this theme "Snow or Snowflakes"! Deadline to enter is midnight CST Friday, Dec. 23. Remember the chosen winner will be the next guest designer and several Ooh La La awards are awarded!
We will be back in January 2012 with more fun and inspiring challenges!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Make A Wish Birthday Card - Flower Shoppe

Welcome to Glenda's Cards and thank you for stopping by today!

My white card is 5" x 6 1/2' and is layered with a 4 3/4" x 6 1/4" patterned paper from ColorBok. I like the vintage look of the papers in this pack. Sometimes the paper is so pretty that it can stand alone, but I do enjoy adding Cricut cuts to make it more personal.

I am enjoying the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge. I thought I would check out You Tube to get more ideas and was pleased to see that Kimberly at My Craft Spot has some great videos sharing techniques of making flowers with the Flower Shoppe cartridge. To see her videos, look for Sentimental Scrapper.
I was inspired by the crumpled flower by Kimberly. I used Scallop 4 on page 13 and cut two of the images. I worked in the Cricut Craft Room--think the flower was 2.5 and 2.25. The center is Basic 4 on page 12 cut at 2.5. I get carried away in the CCR and forget to write down the actual sizes. I spritzed the cut papers with water, crumpled, and let dry. Edges are slightly inked. The layers are glued together and pop-dotted on the mat. This is my first try spraying water on a flower but I am pleased with the results of the flower. I will be making more!

Cricut Cartridges:
Flower Shoppe - Flower Scallop 4
Elegant Edges - Eyelet 3 page 68 --Oblong image cut at 3.00w x 3.861 h. It is embossed with the Cuttlebug Script folder. Small pearls are glued in the centers.
Birthday Bash -  Phrase "Make a Wish" on Page 52 cut 1.833w x .472h. I love the banner look on the paper and thought that was a great place for the sentiment!

Hope you enjoy my card!

Fantabulous Cricut Ch 88 - Holiday Cards

Welcome to Glenda's Cards! It is time for another fun challenge at Fantabulous Cricut! This week we are thinking Holiday cards. Can you believe that Christmas holidays will soon be here! If you have not started on your holiday cards, this challenge is for you!
I am happy to share a lovely embellishment from our sponsor Creative Charms with you! Be sure to visit their site and see all the gorgeous embellishments! They have beautiful brads, charms, ribbons, and embellishments for scrapbooking and card making. Thank you Creative Charms for being our sponsor this week at FCCB and for letting me share your product.

My card is 6 1/2" x 5" and is layered with a pretty K&Company SW Glad Tidings paper. I love the Musical Notes/Noel embellishment from Creative Charms and I wanted to continue the musical theme of Glad Tidings! What better way to do that than with the angel from Cricut Christmas Noel. I think this is a very pretty angel and I am happy to use this image for the first time. I am singing The First Noel the Angels did say! Such wonderful news!
I pop-dotted the angel on a double mat cut using Cricut Lacy Labels Asian image. This is the fifth image on the first row. The K&Company patterned paper for the mat is run through the Cuttlebug using the Allergo folder.
I am happy with this card and hope you enjoy it!

Be sure to visit FCCB and see all the lovely cards by the design team. We appreciate when you visit our blogs and leave comments. Now it is your turn to share your Holiday cards with us. As always, you must include a Cricut cut. You have until midnight Sunday Dec. 4th to submit.

My Sheri Crafts Ch # 74 Decorate for Christmas

Welcome to Glenda's Cards! Thanks for stopping by because it is time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts! This week we are Decorating for Christmas and ask that you create an ornament or home decor item for Christmas.
For my project I decorated a wreath to hang on my door. The green 15 inch wreath was purchased at The Dollar Tree. To add more thickness and character, I added several little flower/pine cone picks that I have had for years..another one of those after Christmas clearance that I had forgotten about!
I downloaded the Cricut Craft Room application and have been playing around with the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge! This is my first project using the CCR and I am pleased with the flower cuts.
Cricut Cartridges
Flower Shoppe - The two green pattern flowers are using the Basic 2 and Basic 4 images on page 12 cut at 3.25".  I did not record the size for the center Basic1.
I used the Sunflower images on page 17 for the three red/cream flowers but two centers are cuts from image Basic1.
The flower at the top of the wreath is using the Ruffle images on page 15. I did not record these sizes...as I was working with the sizing of images.
Winter Woodland - Joy on Page 78 was cut at 5".

Be sure to visit My Sheri Crafts to see the lovely projects by the design team. We look forward to seeing your ornaments or home decor items for Christmas. Remember one person will be chosen to be the next guest designer and Ooo La La awards will be given.
