My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 163 Show Me Your Decor!

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Happy Saturday everyone! It is time for another fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. For Challenge 163, Sarah has chosen "Show Me Your Decor". We are asked to make some type of decor and it can be any season. No cards this time!

We are having very hot temperatures this summer in my area. My thoughts have been on Fall and all the beauty of the season plus the cooler temps. My project is a Fall banner. Recently I was the lucky random draw winner at Tuesday Morning Sketches which was sponsored by SVGAttic. It was hard to choose from so many pretty designs. I selected some Fall designs and the banner is one of those projects. Many thanks to Tuesday Morning Sketches and SVGAttic for their sponsorship for the challenges.

This is the first time that I have used any image files other than Cricut. It was simple to upload the images into the Cricut Design Space and cut it on my Cricut Explore. I sized each letter to 5.75" high and then cut each letter from the yellow and orange papers. Ribbon was in my stash.

I enjoy decorating my patio for Fall. Last year, the old wooden shutter door was mounted on one of the walls for decorating and a table was placed in front of it. I made the burlap wreath last year - first experience of using burlap on a wreath. This Fall I will use the banner with the wreath on the door.

Now it is your time to play along with us. Visit My Sheri Crafts to see all the decor projects made by the design team and our guest designer. For more information, please visit the individual blogs!

Beach Time

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

We are having very hot weather with more days of 100 degrees on the way! I am so thankful for my air conditioner! Inspiration for this card came from BBTB2 and its current challenge "Cool Down by the Sea". Using a search in Cricut Design Space, I chose this chair card image for my project. Papers are white Colorbok and left over pieces from other projects.

Cricut Cartridges:
Life is A Beach - Beach chair card is cut 8.50" wide, 5.9" high from the white cardstock. When folded the card measures approximately 4.25" x 6". A green patterned paper was cut for the chair. A blue sky paper was hand cut for the liner behind the opening. Image Set of 3 Sea gulls is cut 1.35" wide, 1.37" high. I used only one sea gull.
Summer Love - Beach girl is cut 2.10" wide 3.88" high.
Paper Dolls Every Day - Water is cut 5.50" wide.
Create a Friend - Words "Beach Time" is cut 2.94" wide, 1.63" high.
Pink Journey - Sandals cut .59" wide. She has already kicked off your shoes!

Challenges:
BBTB2 - Cool Down by the Sea
The Sisterhood of Crafters- Summer Heat - Colors or theme

It has been quite some time since I have played with Red and Purple. I needed a birthday card for one of my Red Hat Lady friends. Card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. It is layered with red, patterned Red Hat Lady paper, and purple gingham check papers.

Cricut Cartridges:
Pack your Bags - Lady with drink is cut 4" high. That is a strawberry drink to match my colors!!
Birthday Bash - Many wishes for a Happy Day is cut 4.50" wide. This sentiment is used inside of the card.

Cuttlebug: Happy birthday

Recollections flowers and small gemstones were added at corners on the Happy birthday mat.

Watermelon for You

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

I have missed playing along with some challenges. So much has been going on. Baseball is now over for the summer. Kids did really well, in fact, finished second in the state category that they were in. Now it is time for me to play with paper! My card is 5" x 6 1/2" white cardstock. I found a scrap piece of watermelon paper in my stash that is layered on the card.

Cricut Cartridges:
Gypsy Wanderings - For You is cut 1.75" wide.
Stretch Your Imagination - Watermelon is cut 2.62" wide, 1.30" high with the shadow cut.

Martha Stewart Daisy Dots edge punch is used on the black paper strip. The cut outs pieces are added to the plaid square for a little pop! I used a white Gelly roll pen on the watermelon slice.

My Sheri Crafts - Ch. 162 Country Strong

Welcome to Glenda's Cards!

Today begins a new and fun challenge at My Sheri Crafts. Our design team sister Peachy has chosen for the theme of Ch. 162- Country Strong. Since August 2-8 is National Farmer's Market week, Peachy asked us to create a card or project with a farm/country life inspiration. Living in a farming area, I am able to enjoy many pretty scenes. My thoughts turned to creating one of those pretty little scenes and of course, I had to have a barn!

The card measures 5" x 7" and is cut from white Colorbok card stock. I layered the card with a 4 7/8" x 6 7/8" Recollections Light Blue Distressed paper to create the sky background. All other papers are from the scrap stash.

Cricut Cartridges:
Country Life - Barn scene is cut 5.5" wide, Tractor/girl is cut with the shadow at 2.34" wide, Phrase Farm Raised is cut 2.50" wide, and Chicken is cut 1.31" wide.
Every Day Paper Dolls - Grass is cut 7" wide.
Wild Card - Sun is cut 1.50" wide.

Now it is your turn to play along with us! Visit My Sheri Crafts to see the pretty and inspiring projects made by the design team and our guest designer! For more information, please visit the individual blogs and leave us a little love. We look forward to seeing your cards and projects!
