Birthday Teapot

I have been wanting to make a teapot card for quite some time and Birthday Sundaes Challenge 14 this week is a shape card. Looking at the design team's lovely cards inspired me to try this teapot! I do not use Design Studio or the Gyspy so my little teapot is a cut from Cricut A Child's Year cartridge. Many cartridges have fun shape cards which I need to use more! I had fun using the Expression 2 for this card.
Cricut Cartridges:
A Child's Year - The teapot is the tag feature on page 67 and is cut at 6.50". The little cup is the icon feature on the same page and is cut at 1.25". Cup is pop-dotted on the teapot.
Lovely Florals - Scallop circles are the 4th image on the first row and are cut 2.25".
Other supplies:
Martha Stewart -  Pop-up water lily for the flower in center of scallop mats. I cut two different papers and pop-dotted the flowers. Gemstone is from stash.
Paper - K&Company Watercolor Bouquet for the designer paper and the white is Colorbok.
I used DMC memory thread for the bow on cup. I had a tiny area for the sentiment and I was thinking of handwriting Happy Birthday, but I was lucky to find a Happy Birthday sticker in my stash.
This is an expensive teapot - look at all that gold! I got carried away with Gold Stickles!!

Challenge:
Birthday Sundaes - Make a shape card. Must have birthday wording on it.

Hope you enjoy!

A Wedding Card

I was able to play with the Cricut Expression 2 today and after viewing a few challenges, I am using a cute sketch from Card Patterns for my card. I will be entering the card in several challenges that are using a wedding theme this week. This is my take on the sketch and a wedding theme! The white card is 5 x 6 1/2".
Cricut Cartridges:
Cricut Solutions Wedding - Bells are third image on line 2 and cut at 2".
Cuttin' Up - Best Wishes is the main image on page 72 cut at 1.25 inch with pink and the shadow is the same size cut in white.
Martha Stewart - Swirling Lace Edge Punch
Paper - My Mind's Eye -pink stripe, The Girls' Paperie - patterned paper, K&Company -Pink ribbon, and Colorbok - white on the edge punch and bells.
Inking, pearls from my stash, and Diamond Stickles on the bells.

Challenges:
Card Patterns - Sketch 120
Fantabulous Cricut - Wedding theme - include the color white and a bell
Die Cuttin Divas - Wedding Bliss - any cut except for hearts
The ABC Challenge - W is for Wedding

I like Shabby Chic and Vintage and I was trying for that look with my wedding card. The patterned paper was my inspiration. Hope you enjoy!

Wow! My Red Hat Society Mini Album from Rhonda

I am sharing photos of the Red Hat Society mini album that Rhonda of SCRAP HAPPENS made for me! Rhonda is an amazingly talented lady who so generously shares her talents with others! She makes the most beautiful mini albums and then gives them away. Recently I was one of the lucky recipients of an album from Rhonda! I had mentioned a Red Hat theme and Rhonda sent me a gorgeous Red and Purple mini album with pages of beautiful ladies, hats, feathers, bling, and perfect sayings!

I love this mini album! Thank you so much Rhonda! It will always be a treasured keepsake! Also thanks to Rhonda for allowing me to use her photos on this post!
